3 Fun Tea Facts

The tea plant is actually an evergreen which can reach a height of over 30 feet in the wild. Tea plants on plantations are trimmed to about waist height to make it easier for tea pickers to harvest the tea.

In one day, an experienced tea picker can collect around 70 pounds of tea. That's enough tea to make 14,000 cups!

All varieties of tea, including green, black, oolong and white tea actually come from the same tea plant. The leaves are processed differently to create different tea varieties.
